I always thought it was spiritually inspiring to say you were born again. That is the lingo of when you decide that Jesus is your Lord and Savior. You may say a special prayer and bingo you are now claiming yourself to be a son or daughter of a God.
Many Christian religions have it as their catch phrase. Are you born again? When were you born again? It is their opening act, to telling you all about Jesus. Yet the story, I want to hear is not necessarily when but where. Where were you when you decided to follow Jesus Christ? Was it during a failure? Was it during a celebration?
I am going to go out on a limb here and suggest you are not sharing Jesus Christ if you do not have a story. Being a cradle Christian Catholic doesn’t actually stir up an awe inspiring conversion story but there is still a story. Oh you were born and maybe baptized religious. Yet, if that is the tale, is that the beginning or the end?
I am glad you have a religious framework to find Jesus. Yet having found religion and having a relationship are different things. They can be found together or even separately. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. You know the truth that Jesus is Lord therefore, our lives reflect it. Not perfectly. That is why he is a Savior that forgives our sins too. So pick up your backpack and follow Jesus. Where were you when you decided to follow Jesus? I challenge you to tell your tale to another human being today.
